Wyver Lane Pond will be closed for fishing until 1st December.
A work party is arranged for Sunday 24th November to clear the mess left behind from the recent flooding.
Proposed work to take place is - removal of debris around the otter fence - clearing path of silt and sludge - refilling pegs with stone Volunteers are most welcome to come and help out, we will be meeting at 8.30 in the pond car park.
The Derwent at Belper has been exceptionally high the last couple of days, with homes and businesses flooded.
Our own Wyver Lane Pond became part of the Derwent and our otter fence there has sustained widespread damage. Hopefully this is obvious, but can all anglers please stay away from the Derwent and Wyver Lane Pond for a few days, as it's just too dangerous and messy to fish.
