Roach showing on several pegs on tonight's match, some showing in the first hour and others as the light faded. ![]()
Maggots fished on Waggler and bolo were the favoured methods, with the Waggler fished off the bottom with little weight down the line to catch on the drop, as opposed to the bolo fished full depth and holding back slightly. ![]()

With the stretch producing reasonable weights throughout the week after last Monday it was hoped we were in for a treat on tonight's match, however after a few early fish on pegs 1, 2 and 3 bites we're at a premium, on the higher numbers 6 and 9 bites came as the light faded. ![]()

Great to see the barbel stocked last December are doing well, also there some quality dace and plump chub coming through.
Whilst the river on the Top stretch has been lowered our intrepid band of volunteers have been working hard on peg improvements and maintenance.
We now have 23 fishable pegs on this stretch.

The river is on the rise and has gone from 1.31m on Monday evening to 1.54m, all being well it should be flowing over Horseshoe Weir in the next few days 🫰
