The measures imposed by the Government in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic have affected the opening of our venues. As of 13th May 2020, Wyver Lane Pond and Erewash Canal will reopen to fishing. For more information on restrictions & rule changes please see our COVID-19 fishing updates page.
IMPORTANT NOTICE – NO TICKETS ARE SOLD ON THE BANK!
In order to fish Club waters you must be in possession of a valid permit or day ticket – purchased in advance from any of our official ticket outlets listed below – and an Environment Agency rod licence*.
An annual membership of Belper & District Angling Club allows the holder to fish all Club waters. Permits run from 1st January until 31st December each year.
Day tickets are also available and these allow anglers to fish most of our stretch of the River Derwent (with the exception of the stretch surrounding Wyver Lane Pond, which is members only). Anglers fishing our waters on a day ticket must only fish between dawn & dusk. The Derwent is subject to the river close season and therefore day tickets are only available to purchase between 16th June and 14th March inclusive.
Before fishing any BDAC waters, please read, and familiarise yourself with, all Club rules.
Our 2020 prices are as follows:
Senior day ticket = £5 each
OAP & Disabled day ticket = £4 each (with proof of entitlement)
Junior day ticket = £3 each
Must be purchased in advance – No day tickets sold on the bank
Senior ticket = £35 per year (age 17 to 65)
OAP & Disabled ticket = £20 (with proof of entitlement†)
Junior ticket = £10 (children aged between 10 & 16 years old)
Children under 10 years old are entitled to fish for free, on all Club venues, whenever they’re accompanied by a senior or OAP member.
A passport photograph is required to be fastened inside your annual permit prior to fishing.
A small number of night permits are available to allow members to night fish Wyver Lane Pond, which cost an additional £25 per year. Please note, however, that due to the limited number of tickets there is currently a waiting list. Please contact the Club’s Carp & Night Fishing Officer, Andy Bennett, on 07490 807810 for further information.
From September 31st it is possible to purchase a membership for the remainder of the year (to fish for the whole of October, November & December), at a reduced price. The costs of these Autumn Permits are as follows: Senior ticket = £20 per year (age 17 to 65) OAP & Disabled ticket = £15 (with proof of entitlement†) Junior ticket = £5 (children aged between 10 & 16 years old)
