The club is delighted to announce that fishing is now allowed on our waters, since the COVID-19 national “lockdown” measures were eased. All of our waters were closed to angling activity from March 24th to mid-May, and the club has been monitoring Government & Angling Trust guidance ever since. Fishing is currently allowed on our waters, but please visit our COVID-19 Updates page or the Club’s official Facebook page for further details and latest updates.
ALL WATERS CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19
All Belper & District Angling Club waters are closed until further notice due to the COVID-19 coronavirus.
We will provide further updates whenever possible.
Meanwhile, please stay home and stay safe.
River Derwent Pike Taken on a Lure
Here’s local angler, Jonah, with a quality pike he caught from the River Derwent during a lure session on Christmas Eve.
Jonah was fishing a stretch of the river close to Belper town centre when he took the fantastic fish. Here’s what he had to say:
“It was the third fish I caught that day. Overall I caught 2 brown trout and the massive pike to finish off. It was caught on an Abu Garcia Swimbait”
Congratulations Jonah! What a fish!
The details & photographs of this capture were sent using our catch report form. If you have caught a fish from Belper & District AC waters, please fill in & submit a catch report.
