River Match results Top stretch alongside the pond Sunday 13th September First match since the river has refilled, pleasure weights have been reasonable leading up to today, and after the first hour it looked to be more of the same, but when the sun broke through the early cloud cover, it became a struggle for most. Top weight today from peg 1 was John Spencer, pole fished caster on pole doing the business 🎣Resulting in a cracking net of roach. John Barlow Autumn series round 1Silverfish only Wyver Lane Pond Sunday 6th September Some decent weights for the first round of the series, plenty of roach, rudd, perch with also 6 bream caught by the top 3 anglers. Fishing his first ever match was Andy Cummings, drawn on peg 22 he waggler fished caster for 4 bream and also roach and perch to take top spot with 18lb 9oz. The silver fish form of the river continues to show. Here, young Finlay did what his dad has so far failed to do, in banking a 1lb Derwent roach. He followed this up next cast with his first ever dace, at 8oz! Quite a brace for a seven year-old. We're sure there will be even better to come as these fish fatten up for the colder months. ...
