13 fished a very tricky match. The pond was very cold with an influx of river water and the first frost of the season this week. Many struggled for bites,

Belper Angling Club Match Dates 2022 – River Derwent
The following dates are for a series of regular evening fishing matches, along with numerous special memorial matches, which BDAC runs on the River Derwent at Belper between June & December each year. The 2022 match dates are as follows:
River Derwent Memorial Match Dates for 2022:
- John Mason Memorial Match – Sunday 21st August (fished on Sewerage Works section of River Derwent)
- Roy Melbourne Memorial Match – Sunday 16th October (fished on top section of River Derwent, behind Wyver Lane Pond)
- Phil Smith Memorial Match – Sunday 18th December (fished on top section of River Derwent, behind Wyver Lane Pond)
- Roy Melbourne Memorial Match – Sunday 16th October (fished on top section of River Derwent, behind Wyver Lane Pond)
- Frank Posiak Memorial Pairs Match – Date and Venue TBC (fished on River Derwent)
River Derwent Regular Monday Evening Match Dates for 2022:
Fished each Monday evening from the start of the river season until the light fades too much to make an evening match viable. Fish from 6pm until 9pm.

Sewerage Works Section Match results:
- 1st Paul Spencer, peg 20 = 5lb 5oz
- 2nd Elliott Boam, peg 9 = 2lb 3oz
- 3rd Adi Ingram, peg17 = 1lb 12oz
With the river carrying a few inches of extra water and a bit of colour it was hoped the river would fish a little better, but all competitors struggled due to the amount of leaves in the river system of late.

John Mason Memorial Match results – River Derwent – 13-09-2020
The annual charity memorial match was held on the Sewerage Works Section of the Derwent at Belper.
Fished in pleasant September sunshine, with the river at normal level and running clear it was expected to be tough going, however everyone managed a few bites. £45 was raised for charity.

- 1st – Adi Ingram, Peg 6 = 14lb 14oz (a small carp, 2 bream and 40 small fish)
- 2nd – James Marcer, Peg 13 = 12lb 11oz (a carp and small fish)
- 3rd – Bob Harrison, Peg 4 = 10lb 3oz (fished waggler for a total of 81 fish)
